Statements, Sources & Corrections
Context is part of the record.
What Qualifies for Publication?
We identify the speaker, original source, date when available, issue and context. Short exact excerpts are distinguished from Citizenly summaries. A dated public statement is not automatically a campaign promise; promises need explicit wording and campaign context.
What the Evidence Does—and Doesn’t—Say
A speech, office service page, social post, recorded vote and reply to a constituent are different kinds of evidence. Official sources establish attribution, not the independent truth of every claim. Historical statements retain their dates and are not presented as current positions without a newer source.
Coverage and Review
The current Nevada pilot contains selected records checked against original sources by Citizenly’s assisted editorial process. It is not a comprehensive history. Empty profiles are marked as missing coverage. We do not generate quotes, infer silence, or assign response penalties from gaps.
Corrections
Send the profile URL, statement and supporting source to adryenn@citizenly.io. Corrections should retain an explanation and review date. An automated correction-submission and version-history service has not launched.
Independent Civic Information
Citizenly is not an official government service. Rankings, where developed, require published methods and evidence review. No response ranking is active in this preview.
